Let My Doctor Practice Hosts Summit at the Summit July 20-26, 2015
A National Grand Rounds on the State of American Medicine
WASHINGTON – March 3, 2015 – Physicians are banding together in a growing movement to restore the voice of doctors to the practice of medicine. Let My Doctor Practice will convene physicians in Keystone, Colo. July 20-26, 2015 for a national conference, Summit at the Summit. The conference, and simultaneous webcast, will begin to achieve the movement’s mission: returning the practice of medicine to those who actually practice medicine.
Let My Doctor Practice was founded by United Physicians and Surgeons of America (UPSA). Their goal is to mobilize and engage physicians to create a united voice for responsible change in restoring physicians’ autonomy and protecting the doctor-patient relationship. Led by four experienced doctors passionate about this cause, Let My Doctor Practice believes in the sanctity of the doctor-patient relationship, the autonomy to practice medicine without restraint imposed by overreaching government and corporate entities, and, above all, that patient care and safety should never be compromised.
“Physicians around the country are fed up and frustrated. They struggle with constant intrusions into the doctor-patient relationship, the ‘Meaningful Use’ program resulting in degradation of medical records, and health insurers who often try to dictate care options over doctors’ recommendations,” said Daniel Craviotto, MD, president of UPSA and a founder of Let My Doctor Practice. “At the Summit at the Summit conference and webcast, we will unite doctors to speak out against these outside intrusions on patient care and to support actionable resolutions for change.”
